Springville Wastewater Treatment Plant
Designed by Aqua Engineers, the upgrade of the existing wastewater facility for the City of Springville increased the plant BOD capacity from 12,000# to 21,000# and the hydraulic capacity was increased from 5.2 to 7.7 million gallons per day. The existing plant was required to remain in operation while Alder forces constructed several new basins and structures and modified several others. These include the renovation of an existing basin to create a new 7000 sf, two level concrete and masonry block pump station. This pump station also includes an electrical room, office space with restroom facilities and snail/grit classifier. The project also includes as two new 80 ft diameter secondary clarifiers and two new 4500 sf basins. Yard piping, ranging in size from 4" to 36”, was installed to tie the facilities together and into the existing plant.
