Alder Construction teamed up with the Murray Rotary to help design and construct the Murray Greenhouse Foundation. The Murray Greenhouse Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to furthering the education for those with disabilities. The Murray Greenhouse is a safe place for intellectually disabled adults to learn independence skills, socialize with friends and to get out in the community.

The Murray Greenhouse Foundation now has a beautiful renovated school and brand new 1200 sq ft greenhouse. In November 2008 they received their business license and are ready for business with the goal of becoming self sufficient as soon as possible. In the greenhouse, clients can learn to grow fruits, vegetables and flowers. They can then learn to cook and prepare meal with the fruits and vegetables in the renovated school which also has a computer area and reading room. Volunteer opportunities are available and we would encourage anyone who is interested to contact the Murray Greenhouse Foundation for more information.
