About the Role
As a CDL Driver at Alder Construction, you will play a crucial role in our operations by ensuring the timely and secure transportation of goods across various routes within Utah State. You will be responsible for operating and maintaining company vehicles, adhering to safety regulations, and providing outstanding customer service. Your attention to detail, strong communication skills, and commitment to safety will be essential in successfully fulfilling this role.
Safely operate company vehicles, including tractor-trailers, within Utah State.
Follow assigned routes and delivery schedules to ensure timely and efficient transportation of goods.
Adhere to all traffic laws, regulations, and safety guidelines to maintain a safe driving record.
Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in proper working condition.
Load and unload goods using appropriate equipment and techniques while maintaining cargo integrity.
Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers to provide updates on delivery status and address any concerns.
Complete required documentation, including logbooks, inspection reports, and delivery receipts accurately and promptly.
Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure proper loading and unloading procedures are followed.
Maintain a clean and organized vehicle, both inside and out.
Assist in the maintenance and repair of vehicles as needed.
Valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record.
Previous experience as a CDL Driver is preferred but not required.
Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards.
Strong communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with customers and team members.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Physical capability to load and unload goods, including lifting and moving heavy items.
Flexibility to work varying schedules, including weekends and occasional overnights.
