About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Welder to join our team, responsible for executing welding tasks with precision and expertise. The ideal candidate will have the ability to pass rigorous on-site welding tests adhering to the D1.1 code standards.
Responsibilities:
1. SMAW Pipe Welding:
- Must successfully pass a weld pipe test on-site for Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW).
- Testing will be conducted on 6” diameter A53 grade B carbon steel piping with an open root.
- The test will be performed in the challenging 6G position.
- Certification will require Visual Testing (VT) and Radiographic Testing (RT) to ensure compliance with industry standards.
2. FCAW Plate Welding:
- Must successfully pass a weld plate test on-site for Flux-Cored Arc Welding (FCAW).
- Testing will be conducted on 8” A36 carbon steel plate with backing.
- The test will be performed in both 3G and 4G positions.
- Certification will require Visual Testing (VT) and Radiographic Testing (RT) to ensure adherence to D1.1 code standards.
3. Additional Skills:
- Proficiency in TIG welding of stainless steel is a plus.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $28.00 - $38.00 per hour

Requirements
- Proven experience in welding, with a focus on SMAW and FCAW processes.
- Attention to detail and precision in executing welding tasks.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures related to welding activities.
- Capability to pass on-site welding tests in challenging positions and conditions.
- Familiarity with D1.1 code standards for welding.
